Lopez “Shaheem” Hopson

Lopez “Shaheem” Hopson, born on August 3, 1973 in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025. He was the cherished son of the late Artina Hopson. 

In his early years, Lopez and his family relocated to East Orange, New Jersey, where he spent much of his life surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Lopez was a proud and devoted father to his beloved daughter, Najeerah Hopson.

He was a loving brother to Mark “Omar” Hopson (deceased), Montez Hopson, and Andre “Snoop” Hopson (deceased). Throughout his life, Lopez was deeply loved and supported by his devoted partner, Kristina Patton.

He will be fondly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins whose lives he touched with warmth, humor, and love.

Lopez “Shaheem” Hopson will be remembered for his strong family ties, his resilient spirit, and the deep love he held for those close to him. His presence will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished.
