Eryn Phylicia Conner Montgomery

Eryn was born on August 8, 1997, to Sherri Smith’Harris and Therman Montgomery, with the love and support of Le’Roy Faulks. She was a devoted mother to her beloved son Na’Mari Jacob, and shared her life with her significant other Shaquille Neal.

She was a cherished godmother to Davion (her nephew), Kaie’roe, and Y’urii (auntyma), and a treasured sister to Tashia, Stephen, Tyonia, Tanigell, Amir, Trinity, Destyney, Madison, Sonya, Celeste, Bionne, and Denesia. She was blessed with the guidance of her godmothers Marcy Pogue and Tawanna Musse.

Her nieces and nephews—Serynity, Layla, Cayden, Chance, Ishmael, Samir, Messiah,Celeste—brought her joy beyond words. Eryn was the granddaughter of Joyce, Annie Louis, and Therman, and was preceded in death by her eldest brother Sheryc Smith, her beloved aunt Shonda Smith, and her Leo buddy and Papa Charles LaBerth Sr.

Eryn grew up in Newark, New Jersey, where she began her early education before moving to Roselle at age six. It was in Roselle where she completed her schooling, built lifelong friendships, and made unforgettable memories. Eryn’s vibrant personality meant that when she befriended you, it was genuine—but as she would playfully say, her BLOCK game was strong if loyalty was broken.

Eryn’s presence was magnetic—her humor, her love for family, and her fierce loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had countless friends and loved ones who will remember her laughter, her energy, and her unapologetic spirit.
